Get Kids Going!
The Trust has selected Get Kids Going! as its chosen charity for a second year.
Get Kids Going! is a national charity which gives disabled children and young people – up to the age of 26 yrs – the wonderful opportunity of participating in sport. The Griffin Schools Trust is passionate about all of its students being exposed to a wide variety of sports and finds the ethos of Get Kids Going! admirable.
Fundraising across the Trust
The Griffin Schools Trust’s fundraising and charity agenda each year includes:
- All schools raise funds for the GST Sports and Arts Fund (SAF).
- All schools raise funds for the Trust’s chosen charity.
- Each school raises money or resources for a charity local to them.
- Every April a School or Trust leader runs the London Marathon on behalf of the Trust for our preferred Children’s charity. Established as a Proud Tradition in 2017 by Ange Tyler, one of our Founders, Graham Clifford, Head of Willow Brook Primary, took up the challenge in 2018, followed by Angela Sandow, Head of Saxon Way Primary, in 2019. This year Ray Ramsay, the Trust’s senior accountant, will be running.

Held every year in the spring term, the focus is always on community. Schools run a number of fundraising and community service events throughout the day, any money raised is split between local charities of the school’s choice and the Trust’s chosen charity.
